The mission of Cash for College is to help low-income and first generation college-goers complete the application process so they can access financial aid for education and career/technical training beyond high school.
Starting October 1 through June 30, CSAC’s locally-based partner organizations, including high schools, community colleges, universities, and community groups host FREE Cash for College workshops to help students and families complete the financial aid applications.
To expand our reach, the California Student Aid Commission launched the Fall 2020 Cash for College Train the Trainer Program. The Statewide Cash for College Train the Trainer Program provides new and existing community partners with the training and resources to host their own Cash for College Workshops to assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA). This program will expand on the Cash for College workshops to reach more students and assist in financial aid completion.
Community partners are a critical part of students receiving the assistance in completing financial aid applications. Every year CSAC partners with locally-based partner organizations, including high schools, community colleges, universities, and community groups to provide Cash for College Workshops to students. To become a Cash for College Community Champion, complete the Train the Trainer Workshop/Training. Once trained, Cash for College Community Champions will host Cash for College workshops to assist students and families in completing their financial aid applications. Become a Cash for College Community Champion today!
Our Cash for College Community Champions will receive a certificate, digital badge, highlighted on the CSAC webpage and more!
